The Dawson Springs Youth League will be wrapping up its 8U baseball, 10U baseball and softball and 12U softball seasons at the end of this week and the start of next week.

The season has been filled with cancellations and make-up games because of rain on game days.

For the 8U boys baseball teams, the White Sox and Pirates, the teams will have their end-of-season tournament this weekend.

The Pirates and White Sox played each other on Monday night on the softball field at Dawson Springs City Park. The Pirates were victorious, 8-7.

The Pirates traveled to Crittenden County on Tuesday for a last-minute game against the Cardinals. They fell 9-4.

The Pirates have a double-header tonight at Trigg County against the Giants and the Reds. Those games will wrap up the regular season for the Pirates.

The White Sox, according to the original schedule, will play at 6 p.m. today in Dawson Springs against the Rangers.

The White Sox were 3-7-1 as of the latest posting. The Pirates are 3-8.

For the 10U Nationals softball team, the tournament is Friday and Saturday. The team's final regular season game is 6 p.m. today at Dawson Springs against the Pirates. The team is 0-11 in the regular season.

In 10U baseball action, the Dawson Springs Athletics were 0-12. They wrapped up their season on Friday. The tournament starts today.

The Pirates of 12U softball started its season later than the younger players because many of the girls play for the high school. They were 1-4 as of the latest postings at Lakes Area Baseball and Softball's Facebook page.

As of the original schedule, the Pirates will play at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Friday in Dawson Springs, hosting the Caldwell County Nationals. The girls will travel to Crittenden County to play the Royals at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Their final regular season game was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. June 21 at Caldwell against the Cubs.

Their tournament is the week of June 25.
