The Dawson Springs Museum and Art Center board had its first meeting of the year and discussed plans.

At the meeting, the board welcomed new officers and made committee appointments.

Also on the agenda was talking about opening plans as well as the first exhibit, the membership drive and the plant and tag sale.

The museum will open for the year on March 3 and will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The museum is staffed by volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering should call Virginia Chaney at 270-797-4561 or Carolyn Walker at 270-797-3821.
