The Eyecare Center in Princeton has a new provider.
Dr. Jennifer Martin Lane joins Dr. Dan Talley and his staff, according to a news release from the center, and she is accepting new patients.
Dr. Martin is a Providence native and is 1995 graduate of Webster County High School. Following graduation, she earned her Bachelor of Science with honors in biology from Owensboro’s Brescia University. She then attended Indiana University’s school of optometry in Bloomington.
She was involved with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, which took her to Guanajuato, Mexico, to provide eye care to citizens.
Dr. Martin has practiced in Louisville, Fort Campbell as well as Wisconsin. She was most recently employed at Clarksville Eye Clinic in Tennessee.
She is in the Army Reserve and has served in Kosovo, Texas, Panama and Belize using her medical skills. In 2013, she was named Armed Forces Optometric Association Reserve Optometrist of the Year.
Dr. Martin and her husband, who will retire from the Army after 26 years of service, will return to western Kentucky with their 5-year-old son.
