Madisonville police arrested a Dawson Springs man after he fled officers trying to pull him over for driving his motorcycle on the sidewalk, according to a news release from MPD.

Dustin J. Suttle, 30, Roy Terry Loop, was driving his motorcycle on the sidewalk west on Anton Road at 9:40 p.m. on Monday, the release states. Police tried to pull Suttle over. Suttle fled first on the motorcycle and wrecked in a yard near Meadowlark Lane. Then he fled on foot, running in backyards. Police caught him.

According to the report, police found “a sizable amount of methamphetamine and prescription medication.”

Suttle was arrested and charged with third-degree and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, reckless driving, no registration plates, failure of nonowner operator to maintain insurance and no operator’s license.
